My disgust at you is through the roof. 

How could you just watch while your best friend 

Is being beaten to death over their sexuality? 

Step in, do something, stop worrying about yourself 

And stop them from killing your friend. 

 

Or are you, too, disgusted by the fact that he is gay? 

Do you agree with the reason they are killing him? 

Are you homophobic too? 

Or are you too worried about your "reputation" as a person? 

Because I swear to god, you are ruining it even more by just standing there. 

 

He's screaming your name, pleading for you to help, 

But you don't even care. You might as well join in with the kicking. 

At least then, he knows where you stand. 

If you aren't going to physically help him, at least call the police

Or are you so twisted that you don't even want to do that? 

 

All he can think of now, in his dying moments

is how you, his best friend, betrayed him in the worst way. 

You left him when he needed you, you waited until after they left to help him.

It's too late, you're too late. He's taking his last breath. You could have stopped that you know. You could have stepped in. 

 

You could have sacrificed yourself to save him.

You could have just rung the police when it all kicked off. 

But no, he's dead, and while you didn't join in with beating him up,

It's still partly your fault. You didn't help.

You did nothing to stop them from killing him.
